Simple Search
From the simple search box at the top left side of every page you can search by artist, title or record label; just enter as many or as few search keywords as you would like. Searching for "Elvis" will give results for Elvis Presley as well as Elvis Costello - "Elvis Presley" will only return titles by Elvis Presley - you can always focus your search results by adding more words.

Detailed Search
Our detailed search contains several input fields and several search filters/limiters. You must provide an entry in at least one of the input fields. The more fields you fill, the more focused your results will be. By using multiple fields in the detailed search, you should be able to find exactly the title you are looking for.  Click here for more tips on how to make the most effective use of the detailed search engine.

Browse
Our website site gives you the ability to browse our categories in several ways. Click on any of the categories listed on the "Browse all Categories" page, and browse through all the artists in that category - listed alphabetically by group or last name. Please note that some artists could be listed in more than one category, Cannonball Adderly, for example, is listed in both Jazz and Soul.  You can also browse our categories by newest arrivals, or by higher-priced rare titles.

Want List
We have added a new function to our site that will allow you to be notified as soon as your favorite records come into stock. Simply find the title you are looking for. If it is not currently available, just click the "add to want list" link, enter your email address, and we will let you know as soon as the title becomes available.  Items will remain on your want list for 6 months at which point they will automatically expire unless they have been updated manually. You may remove a title at any time by clicking on the "remove" link. Items will be removed automatically when they are purchased by you.  

When you receive a notification that the item you want has come into stock, just click on the link in the email, and you will be taken directly to the item in question.  Please keep in mind that we may have only one copy of a title at any given time. Since some titles have many "Want List" requests it's always a good idea to respond quickly to your email alerts.

Account Setup
Records by Mail now uses an account setup system that allows RBM customers to retain and edit account their information on the site.  Unlike the old system, you will not have to submit all of your shipping and billing information each time you place an order, instead, you will create a password-protected account that will allow you to log-in and complete your purchase with just a couple of clicks.  You will also be able to track the status of your orders and review your order history.

If you are a new customer, just enter your e-mail address on our Login page and select "I am a new customer."  You will create a password and fill out a simple shipping and billing information form. 

If you have shopped with Records by Mail in the past, your account information (order history, shipping information, etc.) can be accessed using your email address.  Simply enter your email address on our Login page and select "I am a returning RBM customer, but I don't have a password." You will then review your account information and choose a password.  For your security, billing information must be entered in your account page.  You will not need to submit this information again once you have created a password-protected account.

If you are a returning customer, and you have already created an account and a password, just enter your email address and password, and you'll be logged in and ready to go.

You may change your shipping or billing information at any time by clicking on the "My Account" link at the center left of all RBM pages.  You will need to log in using your email address and password, and then you will be given the ability to make changes to your shipping and billing information.  You may also edit your account information from the checkout page.

If you create a password, but forget what it is, just enter your email address in the forgot password page and we will email your password to you immediately.  In the interest of security, your credit card and billing information will be deleted and must be re-entered.

Payment Methods
Credit card payment enables us to process and ship your orders much quicker than other options. However, we do accept checks and money orders. 

Credit Card: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Please note that we will need your billing address if the order is being shipped to a different location. Your card will not be charged until we have your items in hand and are ready to ship.

Note: Netscape browsers 4.78 and earlier will not accept credit card information correctly. Please use Internet Explorer or a newer version of Netscape.

Check or Money Order:If you would like to send us a check or money order, just mark the appropriate box on the account set-up form. Within 1-3 days of receiving your order, we will email you a check payment notification indictating the total amount due and the address to which you may send payment.

Shipping Info
All orders are processed and shipped within 2 business days of receipt. We ship worldwide and offer several shipping options. Click here for the various options, estimated delivery times and rates.

If your order has not arrived after 20 business days (6 weeks in the case of international orders), please contact our customer service department. Oversize shipments may be subject to additional charges.  Prices reflect shipping charges only - Import duties are the responsibility of the recipient.

We will also not disclose your sales history to third parties for any purposes, at any time. Information on items you purchase will not be shared with other businesses or customers, online or off.

We use the latest security and encryption technology to protect your credit card and other information. All orders placed through the shopping cart are made using secure server software (SSL). It encrypts all of your information, including your credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read by anyone else on the Internet. If you have difficulty using the secure order form or are using an older browser, you may need to update the 'secure' portion of your browser.

RBM News
If you'd like to receive our newsletter, please sign up here or simply leave the sign up box selected during the account set-up process. You can manage your subscription information on your account page and can unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time.

If, however, you place an order at our web site but would prefer not to receive our newsletter, you will receive only email directly related to your orders - confirmation and receipt, etc.
